Cadillac F1 Appoints Marcin Budkowski as New Team Principal
Cadillac has announced a change in team leadership during the Formula 1 summer break, with Marcin Budkowski replacing Graeme Lowdon as Team Principal. Lowdon had previously overseen the creation and preparation of the American team ahead of its F1 debut.Budkowski brings extensive Formula 1 experience to the role, having held senior positions at Prost, Ferrari, McLaren, the FIA and Renault/Alpine. He has also worked as a consultant in recent years.Cadillac CEO Dan Towriss said Budkowski’s appointment represents an important step in the team’s development and will help establish the structure and processes required to compete at the highest level.Budkowski said Cadillac has significant potential and ambition, with his priorities including improving the efficiency of every department, maximising the development of the car within the cost cap and building a strong winning mentality.The new Team Principal will begin his tenure with Cadillac at next weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort.
