Esteban Ocon Breaks Silence After Haas Drops Him for Mexico GP

Following Haas F1’s decision to drop Esteban Ocon from the Mexico City Grand Prix, the French driver has publicly addressed the situation for the first time. In an official statement shared on social media, Ocon sought to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident and respond to reports and speculation circulating in the media.The situation caused considerable discussion in the paddock after it emerged on Saturday that Haas reserve driver Ryo Hirakawa would replace Ocon for the Mexican Grand Prix. However, the team initially provided no official explanation for the decision, prompting various reports and theories about what had happened.According to Ocon, a disagreement arose between members of the team on Saturday evening, leading to a tense discussion. While the Frenchman acknowledged that the conversation took place, he firmly rejected allegations that any physical violence had occurred during the confrontation.

Esteban Ocon said:“Following the recent decision by the Haas F1 Team that I will not be competing in this weekend’s Mexico City Grand Prix, I feel it is important to issue an official statement to address the situation and clarify some of the reports that have appeared in the media.On Saturday evening, a disagreement arose between the parties, which led to a discussion about the situation. I confirm that this conversation did take place; however, I categorically reject any statements or reports suggesting that physical violence was involved in the course of resolving the disagreement.I strongly condemn violence in any form and firmly believe that even the most serious disagreements must be handled exclusively in a professional manner, with mutual respect and a willingness to reach an understanding.Under the circumstances, I would ask everyone to refrain from further speculation until the situation has been fully reviewed. Should additional information become available, I am prepared to comment on it through the appropriate channels.”Ocon has therefore acknowledged that a disagreement took place within the team while firmly denying the more serious allegations surrounding an alleged physical altercation. For now, the French driver has urged the public and media to avoid drawing premature conclusions until further clarification is provided.
