Ferman Hasanov: “My Goal in the UFC Is to Fight for the Title”
Azerbaijani UFC fighter Ferman Hasanov has shared his thoughts on his preparations for UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Torres, which will take place on June 27 at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, while also calling on fans to support the event.
Speaking ahead of the tournament, Hasanov reflected on his journey to the UFC and outlined his ambitions within the world's premier mixed martial arts organization.
“Competing in the UFC has always been both a goal and a dream for me. Today, I am fighting in the world's leading MMA promotion, but for me, this is only the beginning of the journey.
My objective in the UFC is to prove myself at the highest level, secure consistent victories, and ultimately earn the opportunity to fight for a championship title. I do not consider myself inferior to any opponent, and I enter every fight with the intention of winning.
The organization of a UFC event in Baku is a major milestone for our country. On that day, the eyes of the MMA world will be on Azerbaijan, and it is a great honor for me to be part of this historic tournament.
Competing in front of my home fans provides additional motivation. Of course, the responsibility is significant, but I view it not as pressure, but as extra motivation. Feeling the support of thousands of people inside the arena is a special experience for any fighter.

UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Torres will take place on June 27 at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. Ferman Hasanov is scheduled to face American fighter Erik Nolan on the card.
