Max Verstappen to Face 100 Rivals in Unique Silverstone “Max vs 100” Race

Max Verstappen is set for a highly unusual racing challenge on 16 September, when the four-time Formula 1 World Champion takes part in the “Max vs 100” karting event at Silverstone. Rather than facing a grid of professional racers, Verstappen will compete against 100 participants from a variety of backgrounds. The field will include Red Bull athletes, celebrities, content creators and motorsport enthusiasts from around the world. The challenge will be made even more demanding by Verstappen’s starting position. The Dutchman will begin the race from the back of the grid, forcing him to work his way through the field and battle for victory. The event has been designed to offer a different kind of racing spectacle while also taking Verstappen back to his karting roots. Karting played an important role in his development as a driver, helping him master key skills such as race starts, overtaking and defending positions. The track for “Max vs 100” has been specially designed and constructed by French racing driver David Terrien. The circuit was created to allow 100 competitors to race simultaneously, presenting a unique challenge for both the participants and Verstappen. The event is expected to provide plenty of close racing and entertainment as Verstappen attempts to fight through the field and take on all 100 of his rivals at Silverstone. The event will be broadcast live on Disney+ and the ESPN app.
