Musayev Signs with UFC
Official:Tofiq Musayev to compete at First-Ever UFC event in Baku
Azerbaijani fighter Tofiq Musayev has officially signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and will compete in the organization’s first-ever event in Azerbaijan — UFC Fight Night: Hill vs. Rountree. Musayev is set to face Myrgtybek Orolbai of Kyrgyzstan in a lightweight bout.
With this signing, Tofiq Musayev becomes the third Azerbaijani athlete to join the UFC roster.
Event details and main card
The historic event will take place on June 21 at Baku Crystal Hall.
The main event of the evening features a thrilling clash between former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jamahal Hill and former title challenger Khalil Rountree.
The co-main event will see Azerbaijan’s own Rafael Fiziev face off against Ignacio Bahamondes of Chile in a high-stakes lightweight showdown.
Another Azerbaijani fighter, Nazim Sadykhov, will also step into the Octagon, taking on Brazilian opponent Nikolas Motta.
