Norris Keeps Calm and Keeps Winning
Lando Norris capped off a remarkable weekend in Brazil with a commanding victory at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, securing the maximum number of points and extending his lead in the championship to 24. His McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri, finished fifth, though he could have contended for a podium if not for a 10-second penalty following a first-corner collision with Kimi Antonelli.
After the race, Norris admitted that this win held special significance for him. He described the race as intense from start to finish, with the victory coming through relentless effort and determination. The Briton dedicated his triumph to the late Gil de Ferran former McLaren advisor and a key figure in his development as a driver.
“It’s an incredible feeling to win here in Brazil,” Norris said. “I was pushing from start to finish, and I’m proud of the team for giving me such a fantastic car. We might not have been the fastest today, but we made the absolute most of every opportunity.”
Norris emphasized that McLaren is in excellent form and continues to make progress. Despite the growing pressure and speculation surrounding the championship fight, he remains focused solely on his performance.
“The season is far from over things can change very quickly,” he added. “I’ll just keep attacking and stay focused, ignoring all the noise around us.”
