Rafael Fiziev Returns to Baku
Ahead of the main event of UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Torres, scheduled to take place on June 27 at the National Gymnastics Arena, Azerbaijani UFC star Rafael Fiziev has arrived in Baku.
Fiziev was welcomed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport by fans, friends, and family members as anticipation continues to build for the historic event.
Speaking upon his arrival, Fiziev expressed his excitement about returning home and competing in front of Azerbaijani fans.
“It feels great to be back in Baku, back in my homeland of Azerbaijan. An important and demanding fight lies ahead of me. I feel excellent, my motivation is high, and I am fully prepared. Right now, all my focus is on the fight, and I cannot wait to step into the Octagon.
The fans are in for a spectacular fight on Saturday. Whenever an Azerbaijani and a Mexican face each other, it always produces an exciting battle. This time will be no different.
As for the discussions about my opponent finishing fights in the first round, anything can happen in MMA. One punch or one mistake can change the course of a fight in an instant. My opponent has an aggressive style, constantly moves forward, and throws every strike with full commitment. He has finished several of his recent fights in the opening round. However, that does not affect my preparation or my approach. Anything is possible inside the Octagon.
