Tair Abdullaev to Compete at UFC Fight Night in Baku
Azerbaijani athlete Tair Abdullaev (21-3) has signed with the UFC and will compete at UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Torres in Baku. In his promotional debut, Abdullaev will face Brazil's Jefferson Nascimento in the welterweight division.
Abdullaev becomes the fifth fighter from Azerbaijan to sign with the UFC.
UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Torres will take place on June 27 at the Baku National Gymnastics Arena. In the main event, Azerbaijan's Rafael Fiziev will take on Mexico's Manuel Torres in a lightweight bout.
In the co-main event, middleweight contender Sharabutdin "Shara Bullet" Magomedov will face Michel Pereira.
Two more Azerbaijani fighters will also step into the Octagon on the card. Nazim Sadykhov will face Brazil's Matheus Camilo, while Farman Gasanov is set to meet American fighter Eric Nolan.
