Ticket Sales Begin for UFC Fight Night in Baku
Tickets are now available for the first-ever UFC Fight Night to be held in Azerbaijan. Fans can purchase tickets through the official platform iTicket.az.
On June 21, the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), will bring its globally renowned fight night to the Baku Crystal Hall. The event is being organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan in collaboration with the Baku City Circuit Operations Company.
A Milestone for Azerbaijani Sports
Maqsud Farzullayev, CEO of Baku City Circuit Operations Company, highlighted the significance of the event:
"The arrival of the UFC in Baku opens a new chapter in Azerbaijan’s sporting history. Our country continues to successfully host high-profile international events, and this partnership with the UFC is a natural continuation of the dynamic progress in our sports sector and the result of effective government policy in this area."
He also expressed his gratitude to all partners and sponsors who have supported the organization of the event.
High Demand and Global Attention
With just days to go until fight night, interest in the event is at an all-time high. Thousands of UFC fans from across Europe and around the world are eagerly purchasing tickets. Among the anticipated special guests are UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov and fighter Tagir Ulanbekov.
The main card will feature a highly anticipated bout between former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and current No. 4 ranked Jamahal Hill, who will face No. 7 ranked Khalil Rountree.
Thousands of MMA fans are expected to fill the Crystal Hall, with particular support expected for local Azerbaijani fighters competing on the night.
Baku to Host More Major Events
Farzullayev also noted that Azerbaijan is preparing to host yet another major event — the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
“With less than five months to go, preparations are well underway, and results have already exceeded expectations. More than 80% of ticket sales have come from international fans,” he stated.
