UFC legend Michael Bisping amazed by Baku

UFC Hall of Famer and former middleweight champion Michael Bisping served as an official commentator for “UFC Fight Night: Hill vs. Rountree Jr.” held on June 21 at Baku Crystal Hall.

During his visit to Baku, Bisping filmed a vlog for his personal YouTube channel, sharing his impressions of the city. The UFC legend expressed particular admiration for Azerbaijani cuisine, highlighting kebab and dushbara as favorites. He also praised the cleanliness of the streets and the warmth of the local people.

In one segment, Bisping took viewers on a morning run through central Baku, showcasing key landmarks including the historic Old City (Icherisheher).

“If you ever get the chance to visit Baku I highly recommend it. It’s simply an incredible place with stunning architecture. They host the Formula 1 Grand Prix here, and now, UFC as well. There is a deep passion for sports in Azerbaijan,” said Bisping.
