UFC Star Khalil Rountree arrives in Baku and explores Old City
Former UFC light heavyweight title contender Khalil Rountree has arrived in Azerbaijan ahead of his headline bout at UFC Fight Night on June 21, set to take place at Baku Crystal Hall.
Today, the athlete took time to explore Icherisheher, the historic heart of Baku. During his visit, Rountree toured the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, climbed the iconic Maiden Tower, and was introduced to the traditional art of Azerbaijani carpet weaving even taking part in the weaving process himself.
The main event of UFC Fight Night in Baku will feature a highly anticipated clash between former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree. The co-main event will see Azerbaijan’s own Rafael Fiziev face Ignacio Bahamondes of Chile in a lightweight contest.

Nazim Sadykhov will take on Brazilian opponent Nikolas Motta
Tofiq Musayev will face Myrgtybek Orolbai of Kyrgyzstan in the lightweight division
