Upgraded Ferrari Still Off the Pace in Belgium
Ferrari Introduces Technical Updates, but Results Disappoint in Belgium.
The Scuderia Ferrari team introduced a series of technical upgrades to its car ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix, including a revised rear suspension. However, the updates did not produce the expected performance gains, as both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton struggled to challenge at the front during Sprint Qualifying.
Charles Leclerc recorded the fourth-fastest time, while Lewis Hamilton finished a disappointing 18th. Speaking after the session, Leclerc provided a detailed reflection on the car’s performance, while Hamilton — visibly frustrated — offered only brief remarks to the media.
Charles Leclerc (P4): "I felt the changes in the car, but we were significantly off the pace today. I do believe we have made a step forward, though. McLaren was noticeably quicker than usual on this circuit. It’s frustrating to see such large gaps in qualifying. We clearly still need to improve the car’s grip, which remains a key issue at the moment."
Lewis Hamilton (P18): "I spun — that’s the first time that has happened in my career. I don’t believe the updates improved the car’s handling. I’m very disappointed. A huge amount of work has gone into these developments, and it’s difficult to accept being this far down the order. Hopefully, tomorrow brings a better result."
