Max Verstappen finally achieved his long-awaited first victory at the Singapore Grand Prix, securing his 73rd Formula 1 win on his 250th Grand Prix start. The Red Bull Racing driver praised the team’s performance, highlighting the car’s competitive pace on both tyre compounds and expressing his satisfaction with the progress made over recent races.
“I have been waiting a long time for this victory, so I am particularly pleased with how everything went today. I think we had a really strong race, and the car delivered the pace we needed on both the Soft and Medium tyres. The Medium compound was more difficult to manage, as many drivers seemed to struggle with it, but we handled it well.Getting a good start is always important, and fortunately, I managed to get away reasonably well today. That allowed us to establish ourselves in a strong position early in the race and manage the subsequent stages effectively. The last few Grands Prix have been very positive for us. It is encouraging to see the team performing at such a high level, and the progress we have made is clear. We are moving in the right direction, and everyone is motivated to continue fighting for victories.I really enjoy working with this group of people. There is a great atmosphere within the team, and everyone is committed to achieving the best possible results. We have worked hard to reach this point, so victories like this mean a great deal to all of us. Hopefully, we can build on this momentum and enjoy more successful weekends before the season comes to an end.”
