Next Phase of 2026 Tyre Testing Underway at Hungaroring

The latest round of two-day tyre prototype testing for the 2026 Formula 1 season began this morning at the Hungaroring circuit.

As part of the programme, various construction concepts are being evaluated, with final homologation scheduled for completion by September 1. The focus also includes testing soft tyre compounds ranging from C3 to C5, which are set to be homologated at a later date.

Taking part in the first day of running are Lando Norris behind the wheel of the McLaren, Liam Lawson driving for Racing Bulls, and Paul Aron representing Alpine.
