Charles Leclerc on Missing Belgian Grand Prix Win:Ferrari Is Making Progress

Charles Leclerc finished second at the Belgian Grand Prix, narrowly missing out on victory after Kimi Antonelli overtook him in the closing stages of the race. The Ferrari driver said he remained confident of fighting for the win until the final laps and acknowledged that the timing of the Virtual Safety Car had worked in the team's favour, playing an important role in their race strategy.
Leclerc explained that it took several laps for the hard tyres to reach their optimal operating window after his pit stop. Once the tyres came up to temperature, the car's balance and pace improved, allowing him to maintain a competitive rhythm and challenge for the lead. Despite missing out on victory, the Monegasque was encouraged by Ferrari's overall performance, stating that the team is making steady progress. He added that there is still work to be done, but the recent results demonstrate that the team is moving in the right direction.
