Alex Albon Stays at Williams as Team Confirms New F1 Contract
Alex Albon will remain with Williams for at least another season. The team has announced an extension of its agreement with the 30-year-old driver, who races under a Thai licence. Albon joined Williams in 2022 and has since become one of the key figures in the team’s development. At the Hungarian Grand Prix, he made his 100th start for the Grove-based outfit, while the upcoming Dutch Grand Prix will mark his 101st surpassing Nigel Mansell’s 96 races with the team. According to Albon, despite the team’s challenging season, he remains determined to help Williams return to the front of the grid. Team principal James Vowles also highlighted the driver’s important role in the team’s transformation and stressed that both sides remain confident in the direction of the project.
