Two-time Formula 1 World Champion Fernando Alonso treated his parents to a truly unforgettable day by inviting them to the Motorland Aragón circuit, where they had the extraordinary opportunity to drive a piece of motorsport history — the iconic 1990 McLaren MP4/5B, famously piloted by the legendary Ayrton Senna.

Alonso took to social media to share a series of heartfelt photos, including images of his father, José Luis, behind the wheel of the historic F1 machine.

“It’s impossible to truly repay everything my parents have given me and taught me throughout my life. But today was a special day — watching them drive their own ‘Formula 1’ car brought me genuine joy. Thank you for everything. Enjoy this moment, and let me make you smile now and then,” Alonso wrote.

Remarkably, this rare MP4/5B chassis is owned by McLaren CEO Zak Brown, who made the experience possible.
