Arvid Lindblad Steps Into F1 Spotlight in Mexico
Young driver and member of the Red Bull Junior Academy, Arvid Lindblad, will have another opportunity to showcase his potential in Formula 1 next week, he will take the wheel of the RB21 during the first Friday practice session at the Mexican Grand Prix.
The team has not yet officially confirmed which driver Lindblad will replace, though paddock sources suggest it is most likely to be Max Verstappen. Earlier this season, during the British Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone,Lindblad already took part in a free practice session, driving Yuki Tsunoda’s car and impressing the team’s engineers with his performance.
The 19-year-old Briton is regarded as one of the leading candidates for a Racing Bulls seat in 2026, thanks to his strong results and close ties with the Red Bull Junior Team. Under Formula 1 regulations, each team is required to run a young driver in two practice sessions per season, making such opportunities an important part of the development process for emerging talents.
