Bobby Epstein:F1 2026 Regulations Haven't Reduced Fan Demand in Austin

United States Grand Prix promoter Bobby Epstein said Formula 1's switch to the 2026 technical regulations has had no impact on fan interest. According to Epstein, ticket sales for October's race in Austin continue to grow and are on track to set a new record.Epstein noted that the Circuit of The Americas still has significant potential for further expansion. Organisers are continuing to enhance the fan entertainment programme, while planned road infrastructure upgrades over the next few years will allow the venue to accommodate an additional 15,000 to 30,000 spectators per day.The promoter added that many visitors attend not only because of Formula 1 itself, but also for the overall race weekend experience. He believes the criticism of the new regulations is a natural response to such major changes and expects it to fade over time.Epstein also said that ticket sales remain the best measure of fan sentiment. With demand continuing to reach record levels, he sees no cause for concern. At the same time, he stressed that the long-term success of Formula 1 depends on maintaining exciting, fair on-track competition without creating an artificial spectacle.
