CrowdStrike’s Kurtz Eyes Mercedes F1 Share

Toto Wolff is reportedly prepared to sell a portion of his Mercedes Formula 1 team stake, and according to Financial Times, the potential buyer is none other than George Kurtz co-founder of CrowdStrike and a long-time partner of the team.

CrowdStrike is one of Mercedes’ key sponsors and its cybersecurity provider, while Kurtz himself is not just a businessman but an active racing driver holding an FIA license. He has competed in GT and IMSA series and even claimed victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2023 in the LMP2 Pro-Am category.

Kurtz is expected to acquire approximately 5% of Wolff’s shares. However, Toto will remain in charge of the team and continue in his role as CEO.
