F1 Boss Domenicali:Grid Will Not Expand Beyond 11 Teams

Next year, Cadillac will make its debut as the 11th team in Formula 1.According to championship CEO Stefano Domenicali, this number is sufficient, and for investors with serious intentions, the best option would be to acquire one of the existing teams.

Stefano Domenicali: “In this matter, it is important to proceed with caution. We are prepared to consider only genuinely serious and substantial proposals, as in my view we are already very close to the limit. From a logistical standpoint, the championship’s capacity is nearly exhausted. At the same time, I see considerable interest from investors seeking to purchase existing outfits let us call them franchises. Their value is rising exponentially, as is the financial appeal of investing in Formula 1. But precisely because the championship is performing so well, we must act prudently and safeguard the value we have built.”
