F1 on Rails:Red Bull Cars Tour Budapest by Tram

These days, the streets of Budapest feature an unusual sight: an old tram decorated in Red Bull colors pulling a platform with two Formula 1 cars of the team.

The initiative is timed to the Red Bull Showrun, scheduled for September 20–21. The tram operates from Thursday to Monday on different city routes, with its timetable published in the local press so that as many people as possible can see it.

The platform carries RB7 cars from the 2011 season, when Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber raced for Red Bull Racing.Today, these machines, repainted in the current colors of Red Bull Racing and Racing Bulls, are used for exhibition events.

In Budapest, the cars will be driven by former Formula 1 drivers David Coulthard and Patrick Friesacher, while the show itself will take place on a temporary track near the city center, in the area of Stefánia Street.
