Ferrari Honors Lauda with Special Monza Livery

Every year Ferrari seeks to surprise its fans with a special livery for its home race in Monza, and this season is no exception. On this occasion, the Scuderia has prepared a unique design dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the first championship title won by Niki Lauda with the team.

“Past meets present,” is how the team’s press office described the new livery, unveiling photographs of the cars driven by Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. The special design pays tribute to the legendary Ferrari 312T the car with which Lauda secured his first world championship title in 1975.

That season, Ferrari lined up with two drivers: Austrian Niki Lauda and Swiss racer Clay Regazzoni. Despite having less experience than his teammate,Lauda distinguished himself with remarkable performances. He claimed five victories, nine pole positions (including one at Ferrari’s home track in Monza), eight podium finishes, and a total of 64.5 points. His achievements enabled Ferrari to secure not only the drivers’ title but also the constructors’ championship, finishing ahead of Brabham and other rivals.

For Ferrari itself, the 1975 season marked the beginning of a new era: the team returned to the top of Formula 1 and laid the foundation for future successes. Thus, the current livery serves not only as a tribute to the great Niki Lauda but also as a reminder of the traditions, continuity, and enduring legacy of the Scuderia.
