The stewards at the Bahrain Grand Prix have issued their verdict on an incident involving Lewis Hamilton and Gabriel Bortoleto during Friday's second practice session.Approaching Turn 9, Bortoleto was closing in on Hamilton, who was driving in the middle of the track. The Ferrari driver then moved across Bortoleto's line, forcing the Audi rookie to brake sharply and change direction to avoid a collision.Following an investigation, the stewards established that Hamilton's right-hand side mirror was damaged and that Ferrari had not informed him over team radio of the approaching car. During the hearing, Ferrari representatives explained that the team does not routinely warn its drivers about cars behind unless those drivers are on a flying lap.Bortoleto also confirmed that he had the situation under control and was able to avoid contact.Nevertheless, the stewards concluded that Hamilton had impeded the Audi driver. The seven-time world champion received a warning, while Ferrari was handed a €10,000 fine.
