Hard Rock Stadium Turns into F1 Stage
Just a month ago, the Hard Rock Stadium hosted the Miami Open tennis tournament, but the venue has now been transformed into the paddock for the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix.
This year’s event in Florida is attracting heightened attention: after the unexpected April break, fans have been eager for racing to resume, while the start of the season with new-generation machinery has added further intrigue. Formula 1 representative Liam Parker noted that Miami is ideally suited for the event due to its spectacle and status as a major international hub.
Miami and the Hard Rock Stadium have long hosted major sporting and cultural events. According to Parker, staging races in major cities has proven successful thanks to strong infrastructure and high tourist flow, while also boosting interest in Formula 1 in the United States.
Miami Grand Prix President Katarina Novak emphasized that the race weekend continues to grow each year, evolving into a city-wide Formula 1 festival. The event’s contract runs until 2041, and organizers intend to further develop the format, making it even more attractive to fans.
