History Made Over F1 Speed
Red Bull Racing Continues to Amaze with Daring New Stunt Featuring BMX Star Kriss Kyle
Red Bull Racing once again captivates audiences with its thrilling and sometimes outrageous video projects. In their latest release, world-renowned BMX rider Kriss Kyle made history by becoming the first person ever to jump over a moving Formula 1 car on a stunt bike.
The preparation for this high-risk feat took Kyle seven months of intense training. To make the jump possible, engineers from Red Bull Advanced Technologies designed and built a custom ramp with meticulous attention to detail. The stunt was performed on a racetrack, where the championship-winning Red Bull RB7 Formula 1 car from the 2011 season sped toward the ramp, driven by the legendary David Coulthard.
Following the shoot, Kriss shared that the experience was one of the most extreme and terrifying challenges of his career: “This was probably the scariest stunt I’ve ever attempted. Hearing and seeing a Formula 1 car racing straight at you at full speed is absolutely terrifying. In that moment, I had to clear my mind of all fear and focus entirely on what I needed to do. This was a dream I’ve been chasing for years.”
