Marc Marquez Sweeps Dutch Grand Prix
Marc Marquez Makes History with Main Race Win at Dutch Grand Prix
In the main race of the Dutch Grand Prix, Marc Marquez once again triumphed, taking a commanding victory. Marco Bezzecchi finished second, with Francesco Bagnaia completing the podium in third.
With this win, the Spanish rider has further cemented his legacy, now trailing only Valentino Rossi—who holds 89 career victories—on the list of all-time most successful riders in championship history.
The 26-lap race at Assen saw most riders opting for a hard front tyre. Despite starting from pole position on a specially designed red-and-white Yamaha—commemorating the manufacturer’s 70th anniversary—Fabio Quartararo faded during the race and slipped down to a disappointing fifth place.
Throughout the race, Bezzecchi managed to overtake Bagnaia and mounted a pursuit of race leader Marquez. However, despite repeated attempts, Bezzecchi was unable to make a successful pass. Marc Marquez showcased excellent racecraft to defend his position and secure another impressive victory.
