Marquez Masters Thailand as Ducati Dominate
The main race of the Thailand round of the MotoGP championship is now complete. In the season's first qualifying session, Marc Marquez posted the fastest time. The Spanish rider had also made his mark in yesterday’s sprint race, where he was followed by Alex Marquez of the Gresini team and Francesco Bagnaia.
Although the VR46 team’s representative secured 5th place in qualifying, he lost three positions at the start of the race.Reigning World Champion Jorge Martin did not participate in the first race of the season due to an injury. He was replaced by his teammate Lorenzo Savadori in the Aprilia team.
One of the notable moments of the race occurred on lap 15, when Joan Mir crashed and was forced to retire from the race.
Towards the end of the race, Marc Marquez launched an attack and reclaimed the lead from Alex Marquez.
As a result, Marc Marquez won the opening race of the season in Thailand. Alex Marquez finished in second place, while Francesco Bagnaia secured third.
Franco Morbidelli and Ai Ogura completed the top five.
