Mercedes Sticks with Russell and Antonelli for 2026

Toto Wolff has effectively indicated that Mercedes’ driver lineup for the 2026 season will remain unchanged George Russell and Kimi Antonelli are set to continue representing the team. However, Russell’s contract has not yet been finalized, as both parties are still negotiating specific terms.

Toto Wolff:
“We intend to continue working with both of our drivers. As for George’s contract, there are still a few details that need to be agreed upon particularly regarding his involvement in promotional and PR activities. George is already a mature and experienced driver, and it’s important not to overburden him with off-track obligations. We are currently reevaluating our approach to these matters.”

Wolff also noted that an official announcement should not be expected in Monza:
“Once the contract is signed, we will simply inform everyone. We’re not planning to make a big deal out of it.”
