Norris Returns to Podium in Miami

Lando Norris finished second in Miami, securing his first podium of the season. His teammate Oscar Piastri came home in third place. McLaren were pleased with the double podium result, but disappointed to have allowed Mercedes to claim a fourth victory of the season.

Norris described the race as mixed, noting that he was disadvantaged by an undercut, with no excuses to be made. He admitted that the team should have pitted earlier, but acknowledged that Kimi Antonelli delivered an excellent race without any mistakes that could have been exploited.

The McLaren driver conceded that he lacked the pace in the closing stages to challenge for the win, and that the final result represented the maximum achievable outcome for the weekend. He added that the race came down to small margins and timing attacks correctly. Despite this, he expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance and considered the overall weekend to be a strong one.
