The second session, considered the most important as its conditions are closest to those of qualifying and the race, also unfolded with drama. Several accidents occurred on track:George Russell and Liam Lawson crashed their cars, while a bizarre pit-lane incident involved Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris.As a result of the collision, Ferrari was fined €10,000 for an unsafe release. Despite multiple stoppages and red flags, teams still managed to complete part of their programs, with Oscar Piastri finishing the session fastest with a lap of 1:30.714.
