Pascal Wehrlein Wins Second Formula E World Championship After Dramatic London Finale

Pascal Wehrlein secured his second Formula E World Championship title in his career despite a dramatic season finale in London. The Porsche driver started fourth, while his main rivals, Mitch Evans and Jake Dennis, began the race from fifth and 16th respectively. Both gradually closed the gap to the championship leader, with Dennis eventually moving into the top ten. In the closing stages, Wehrlein and Dennis collided while fighting for position. Wehrlein was able to continue but dropped to 14th, while Dennis was forced to retire to the pits. Evans finished fourth, helping Jaguar secure the Teams’ Championship. Taylor Barnard won the race to become the youngest race winner in Formula E history. Nyck de Vries finished second, with Edoardo Mortara completing the podium. Despite his disappointing result, Wehrlein retained the championship lead and finished the season with 169 points, five ahead of Dennis. Evans finished third with 160 points. Following the race, Wehrlein strongly criticised Antonio Felix da Costa for his aggressive defensive driving. Nevertheless, the most important outcome for Porsche was Wehrlein’s second Formula E World Championship title.
