Qarabagh welcomes Fiziev

Ahead of the first-ever “UFC Fight Night: Hill vs. Rountree Jr.” event in Baku, Azerbaijani UFC athlete Rafael Fizievvisited the training base of Qarabagh FC, where he met with head coach Qurban Qurbanov and player Bahlul Mustafazade.

During the visit, Fiziev was welcomed at the club's facilities, where Coach Qurbanov personally gave him a tour of the stadium. In a symbolic gesture, Qurbanov presented the fighter with a Qarabagh jersey bearing the number 11. In return, Fiziev gifted the head coach a pair of official UFC gloves.

Later, Rafael Fiziev and Bahlul Mustafazade tested their skills in the popular “crossbar challenge” game, followed by Fiziev demonstrating several striking techniques to the footballer.

It’s worth noting that the official UFC Instagram page, which boasts over 47.3 million followers, shared photos and videos from the visit — highlighting the unique meeting between football and MMA ahead of a historic sporting night in Azerbaijan.
