Rookie on the Rise:Isack Hadjar Steps into F1

Isack Hadjar to Partner Yuki Tsunoda at RB for the 2025 Season

RB has officially confirmed its driver line-up for the 2025 Formula1 season. Frenchman Isack Hadjar, aged 20, will join Yuki Tsunoda to form the team’s driver pairing, making his debut in the FIA Formula1 World Championship next year.

Hadjar delivered an impressive performance in the 2024 Formula2 season, competing for Campos Racing and finishing second in the overall standings. Born in France and of Algerian descent, he will become the 19th driver to graduate to Formula1 from the Red Bull Junior Team.

Following the announcement,Hadjar expressed his excitement:

“I am absolutely thrilled to join RB. This is a major milestone in my career and a proud moment for my family, friends, and everyone who has supported me along the way. Since childhood, I’ve dreamed of reaching Formula 1 — my journey began in karting and progressed through every level of single-seater racing.

Formula 1 is a completely different world — a higher level where I will compete against the best drivers in the world behind the wheel of one of the fastest machines on the planet. I know there’s a lot to learn, and I’m fully committed to working hard and giving everything I have for the team.

I’m particularly excited to be teaming up with Yuki. He has always been someone I looked up to. Like me, he came through the Red Bull Junior Programme, and our paths to Formula 1 are quite similar. I’m confident I will learn a great deal from him and continue to grow as a driver alongside him.”
