“Susie Wolff Hits the Stage to Promote Driven”

A week ago in the United Kingdom, Susie Wolff’s autobiography was officially released, marking the start of a brief promotional tour. The first event took place at the University of Edinburgh, where Wolff had once studied International Business before leaving to pursue a career in motorsport. Her brother, David, who played a key role in helping to create the nearly 300-page book Driven, was also in attendance. In her autobiography, Susie reflects on her childhood, her early forays into motorsport and karting, and the financial challenges she faced at the outset of her career.

Driven has received widespread acclaim, with readers praising the honesty and depth of her storytelling, as well as the determination and resilience she displayed in achieving her success.

The tour concluded at London’s Lyceum Theatre, where Susie appeared on stage alongside her spouse and Toto Wolff, who had notably skipped the Mexican Grand Prix to support her. The event featured personal anecdotes, including the 2003 British Formula Renault race, in which Lewis Hamilton first reached the podium.

In addition to sharing personal memories, the discussion also touched on contemporary Formula 1.Toto Wolff recounted the dramatic conclusion of the 2021 season in Abu Dhabi and offered his perspective on the controversial decisions made by FIA race director Michael Masi, which ultimately influenced the championship outcome and denied Lewis Hamilton his eighth world title. Susie remarked that this episode left a profound and lasting impression on her.
