12 Years After the Accident: Michael Schumacher’s Condition Remai

On 29 December 2013, at the Meribel ski resort, Michael Schumacher suffered a severe traumatic brain injury; the seven-time World Champion was 44 years old at the time.

Today, more than 12 years later, only his family and a small circle of trusted individuals know the truth about his condition. The information is carefully guarded, which has led to rumors and speculation, while unscrupulous people continue to attempt to profit from the situation of the great driver.

Sabine Kehm, Schumacher’s longtime manager, noted: “The main challenge for the family is to find the line between trust and distrust.” Words from Jean Todt also offer hope: “I see Michael, he is aware of what is happening in Formula 1,and we watch the races together.”

Currently, access to Schumacher is limited to his wife Corinna, his children Mick and Gina-Maria, Sabine Kehm, and a few close friends Todt, Ross Brawn, Gerhard Berger, Luca Badoer, and Felipe Massa.

The family’s foundation, established in 2017, reflects the champion’s motto:

“Keep Fighting.”
