Apple Throws Down $150M for U.S. Racing Deal

American company Apple has offered $150 million for the broadcasting rights to the races in the United States.

This was reported by The Wall Street Journal.

The proposed amount is several times higher than the sum currently paid by the championship’s existing rights holder, ESPN.

Earlier, The Financial Times reported that the company’s interest emerged following the success of a film starring popular Hollywood actor Brad Pitt.

As of now, the official box office revenue of the film about “royal racing” has reached $434.527 million, with a production budget of $200 million.
