Austin Aims to Keep F1 on the Calendar

Negotiations to extend the agreement for hosting the United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas are currently underway and, according to circuit president Bobby Epstein, are progressing in a constructive manner. He expressed confidence that the partnership with Formula 1 will be renewed.

Epstein stated that no significant amendments to the contract are anticipated; however, particular emphasis will be placed on the expansion of the Paddock Club, which has experienced unprecedented demand this year. “We are developing a project that will be truly distinctive and set a new benchmark among championship venues,” he noted.

Organizers expect record-breaking attendance at the upcoming Austin round, driven by the increasing popularity of Formula 1 in the United States as well as the success of F1 The Movie. Despite three races now appearing on the U.S. calendar, the Texas Grand Prix continues to be regarded as the most popular event among American fans.
