Back on Top:Red Bull Returns to Podium Glory in Monza
Max Verstappen claimed a brilliant victory at the Italian Grand Prix, securing his third win of the season and his first since the May round in Imola. The Dutchman delivered an assured performance: despite a minor incident at the start, he quickly regained the lead and never allowed his rivals to come close again. According to Verstappen, the key factors behind the success were the team’s flawless execution and a well-chosen strategy. On the hard tyre compound, he was able to control the pace with confidence and increase his lead in the closing stages, showcasing both his skill and the car’s superiority.
For Red Bull, this triumph served as an important signal of their return to the top after a challenging spell in the season, while for Verstappen it reaffirmed his status as the championship favourite.
Yuki Tsunoda, by contrast, left Monza without points. The Japanese Racing Bulls driver finished only 13th after an unfortunate collision with fellow Red Bull programme driver Liam Lawson. Tsunoda explained that the damage sustained in the incident cost him pace and eliminated his chances of fighting for points. In his view, Lawson’s actions were overly aggressive and unnecessary, particularly given that both represent teams under the Red Bull banner.
Tsunoda stressed that competition within the Red Bull structure is traditionally fierce, but that drivers must nevertheless show respect towards one another. The incident left him deeply disappointed,as he had hoped to add to his points tally and strengthen his position in the championship.
