Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix Confirmed Until 2032

Spain will continue to host two Formula 1 rounds beyond 2026. An agreement has been reached ensuring that the race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will remain on the calendar until 2032, alternating with the event at Spa-Francorchamps. The Barcelona races will take place in 2028, 2030, and 2032, while the Belgian circuit will host the event in odd-numbered years. Since the Spanish Grand Prix is now held in Madrid, the Catalan round will be renamed the Barcelona-Catalonia Grand Prix.

Formula 1 President Stefano Domenicali stated that he is pleased to continue this collaboration, noting that the city of Barcelona and its fans have always offered a warm welcome, and that the circuit is undergoing active modernization. He expressed his gratitude to the President of the Government of Catalonia, Salvador Illa, and to the circuit’s Executive Director, Pol Gibert, for their commitment to keeping the race on the Catalan track.
