Cadillac Dismisses Horner Rumors Ahead of F1 Debut
The name of Christian Horner, long-time Team Principal of Red Bull Racing, has recently been the subject of widespread speculation in the media and among fans, linking him to a possible move to the new Cadillac team, which is set to make its debut in Formula1 next season. According to rumors, Horner was being considered to lead General Motors’ entry into the championship.
However, during the recent driver line-up presentation, Dan Tauris, head of TWG Motorsport the organization overseeing GM’s Formula 1 project firmly denied these claims and dismissed all speculation regarding Horner’s involvement.
Dan Tauris: "We have had no discussions with Christian Horner and have no plans to pursue any form of cooperation with him. These are merely unfounded rumors. I want to officially clarify the situation and put an end to this speculation. We already have a strong leader in Graeme Lowdon, and we have full confidence in him. His experience, leadership skills, and deep understanding of motorsport make him the ideal person to guide our team through its debut Formula 1 season. We are confident in his ability to lay a solid foundation for Cadillac’s future success in the championship."
With this, any speculation regarding Christian Horner’s potential involvement in General Motors’ Formula 1 project can be considered officially dismissed. The team continues its active preparations for its inaugural season under the leadership of Graeme Lowdon, focusing on technical development, internal team structure, and close collaboration with its drivers.
