F1 Growth Hits Top Gear

Liberty Media reported a 53% increase in Formula One revenue for the first quarter of 2026, rising from $403 million to $617 million. Operating income reached $107 million, compared to an operating loss of $28 million during the same period last year.

The primary driver of this growth was the fact that three Grands Prix Australia, China, and Japan were held during the first quarter of 2026, compared to only two races in the corresponding period of 2025. The cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix also affected the distribution of revenue from broadcasting rights, sponsorship agreements, and long-term commercial contracts.

Additional revenue growth was generated through increased Paddock Club ticket sales, new premium hospitality offerings, logistics and freight operations, licensing activities, and the continued development of the Grand Prix Plazaproject in Las Vegas.

Stefano Domenicali, President and Chief Executive Officer of Formula One, highlighted the successful start to the season, growing fan engagement, and the establishment of new partnerships, including collaborations with Apple, Sky, Standard Chartered, and Marsh.
