Formula E is taking shape ahead of the championship’s transition to the new GEN4 era, with several notable changes to its driver line-up.Among the biggest moves is the departure of Mitch Evans from Jaguar after more than a decade with the manufacturer. The 32-year-old New Zealander, who holds the Formula E record for most race wins with 16 victories, will join the newly established Opel GSE Formula E Team for the upcoming season.Evans will share the new Opel line-up with Theo Pourchaire as the German manufacturer prepares to enter a new phase of its Formula E programme. A three-time championship runner-up, Evans will be aiming to turn his extensive experience into a title challenge with his new team.At the same time, Envision has confirmed Zak O’Sullivan as Max Günther’s new team-mate. The 21-year-old Briton will make his full-time Formula E debut after previously working with Envision as a test driver in 2024.O’Sullivan currently competes in Japan’s Super Formula and Super GT championships and finished runner-up in the 2023 Formula 3 championship. His arrival gives Envision a promising young driver as the series prepares for the introduction of GEN4 machinery.
With the GEN4 era on the horizon, Formula E is entering a new chapter bringing fresh faces, major manufacturer projects and renewed ambitions to the grid.
