Italian Grand Prix:Circuit Updates and DRS Zones

Ahead of the Italian Grand Prix, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) has announced several updates to the Monza circuit and confirmed the placement of the two DRS zones for the upcoming race weekend.

The most notable change concerns the pit wall,where new gates have been installed opposite garage number 32 a visible adjustment compared to last year’s layout.

However, the DRS configuration remains unchanged from 2023. The first zone will once again begin after Turn 7, with the detection point set 95 meters before the corner and the activation point 170 meters after the exit.

The second zone will continue to run along the main straight, with detection located 20 meters after Turn 11 and activation available 12 meters beyond the start/finish line.

In summary, while no major alterations have been made to DRS operation at Monza, the minor infrastructure updates are designed to enhance safety and improve circuit functionality, while maintaining familiar overtaking opportunities for the drivers.
