Leaked F1 2027 Calendar Reveals Full 24-Race Formula 1 Schedule
Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali has confirmed that the championship's management has prepared several versions of the 2027 race calendar in advance. This approach will allow Formula 1 to make swift adjustments should geopolitical developments or other external circumstances prevent certain Grands Prix from taking place, particularly in the Middle East. However, the primary scenario remains a calendar featuring all scheduled events.Today, several international media outlets published a preliminary version of the 2027 FIA Formula One World Championship calendar. Although the document has not yet been officially confirmed by Formula 1 or the FIA and remains subject to change, it is currently regarded as the championship's main working draft.Under the proposed schedule, the 2027 season will once again consist of 24 Grands Prix. The championship is expected to begin on 14 March with the Bahrain Grand Prix, followed one week later by the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah. The opening flyaway phase will then continue with races in Australia, Japan, China, Miami, and Canada. The European leg of the season is scheduled to begin in early June with the iconic Monaco Grand Prix. Formula 1 could then make its long-awaited return to Portugal, with the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimao expected to host a Grand Prix for the first time since 2021. The calendar would then continue with the traditional European stretch, including Silverstone, Spielberg, Spa-Francorchamps, and the Hungaroring. As in previous seasons, the Hungarian Grand Prix is expected to be followed by the championship's traditional summer break. The second half of the campaign is set to begin on the first weekend of September with the Italian Grand Prix. Just one week later, Formula 1 is expected to stage its inaugural Madrid Grand Prix, bringing the European portion of the season to a close. The championship would then head to Azerbaijan to begin a demanding triple-header featuring races in Baku, Turkey, and Singapore. The final phase of the calendar closely mirrors the structure used in recent seasons. Following the Asian rounds, Formula 1 is expected to travel to North and South America for Grands Prix in Austin, Mexico City, São Paulo, and Las Vegas. The season is then scheduled to conclude with two Middle Eastern events in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, where the Drivers' World Championship and Constructors' Championship are traditionally decided.
