Netflix will premiere a new documentary about Michael Schumacher on 2 October. Titled “Schumacher ’94 – The Birth of a Legend,” the film will focus on the 1994 season, when the German driver secured his first Formula 1 World Championship title.
The documentary will revisit the defining moments of that campaign, including Schumacher’s victories and setbacks, controversial incidents surrounding the championship, and the tragic accidents involving Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger.
The film will also explore Schumacher’s personal life and his relationship with Corinna, who later became his wife. Several people who were close to Schumacher during that period will share their memories, including Flavio Briatore, Bernie Ecclestone, David Coulthard, Willi Weber and Kai Ebel.
