No F1 Comeback Planned,Says Sepang Circuit

Speculation about the potential return of the Malaysian Grand Prix to the Formula1 calendar resurfaces in the media with notable frequency and is just as frequently denied. The latest wave of rumors was sparked by comments made by the circuit's Executive Director, which were quickly picked up by the press. However, the circuit's representatives were quick to clarify that his remarks had been misinterpreted.

In an official statement, the circuit emphasized: "We are not involved in any discussions regarding the return of Formula1 to Malaysia. All recent comments referred solely to the extension of our contract to host MotoGP races through to the end of 2026. Additionally, we highlighted our ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as with Dorna Sports the commercial rights holder for MotoGP to ensure the continued presence of MotoGP events at our venue."
