Sky Scores £1bn F1 Rights Renewal

Sky Sports F1 has been broadcasting Formula 1 since 2012 and, according to the Daily Mail, has recently secured a new long-term broadcast rights agreement.

It is reported that Sky Group CEO Dana Strong successfully conducted negotiations with Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali. As a result, both parties agreed to extend Sky’s broadcasting rights through to 2034. The new contract reinforces the broadcaster’s exclusive rights in key markets and further strengthens the long-term partnership between the two sides.

The deal is valued at approximately £1 billion. According to sources, it is considered one of the largest agreements in the history of sports broadcasting. It also highlights the continued growth in Formula 1’s popularity within the UK market and the strong interest from major media platforms.
