Formula 1 Confirms 2026 Calendar: Azerbaijan Grand Prix Set for September

The calendar for the next Formula 1 season has been officially released. The Azerbaijan Grand Prix is scheduled to take place from September 25 to 27, 2026.

As reported by RaceBrief.com, the only major change in the 2026 calendar is the replacement of Imola with Madrid. A total of 24 races will be held throughout the season.

The season will begin on March 8 with the Australian Grand Prix and conclude on December 6 with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Due to the timing of Ramadan, the season opener has been moved from Bahrain to Australia.

It has already been confirmed that the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix will be dropped from the schedule. Meanwhile, the Monaco Grand Prix, traditionally held in May, will take place in the first week of June.

The 2026 season will also feature six sprint races. Additionally, three-day winter testing sessions are planned for both Barcelona and Bahrain.
