Several Formula 2 drivers received grid penalties following Friday's qualifying session. As a result of the revised starting order, Sebastian Montoya inherited pole position for the sprint race. However, he lost the lead on the opening lap to Martinius Stenshorne, before Joshua Durksen moved into first place later in the race. The sprint was interrupted twice by Safety Car periods following separate incidents involving Kean Shields and John Bennett.Championship leader Nikola Tsolov started from seventh on the grid and made steady progress through the field, climbing to fourth on the final lap, narrowly missing out on a podium finish.Joshua Durksen went on to claim victory, with Martinius Stenshorne finishing second and Dino Beganovic completing the podium in third. Tsolov's fourth-place finish extended his championship lead to 22 points.
